Nina is having a real hard time with Carrie, but why? To find out the answer to this question, stop and watch Episode 15 right now and then join us for the spoilers down below

We start Episode 15 learning that Carrie has aged up to a teen and about to enter junior high. We also learn that the book Nina wrote for Carrie became a movie and a major hit! See the movie poster below.

And with that, the paparazzi have now discovered where Nina lives, and are regularly camped out on her doorstep. Just like Amanda used to, Carrie fights with the paparazzi and curses at them often. This of course sets Nina on edge who punishes her daughter for her bad language.

Even when they go into San Myshuno to have lunch and the paparazzi captures a photo of them, it’s with Carrie giving them the finger. In turn the tabloids respond with the below photo that appears in the Daily Sim.

And with all of this going on, Carrie is getting teased and bullied relentlessly in school over being the daughter of a famous author. Kids make fun of what they don’t understand or can’t understand. If a child is different from others, for any reason, other children will tease, bully and torment. Because Carrie is the daughter of a famous celebrity, the subject of a best-selling book and now movie – it puts her at the center of attention. Everyone wants a picture of the famous Carrie from Carrie’s Cow Saves Christmas. And for those who are jealous of Carrie’s newfound fame and celebrity, they respond with cruelty. But Carrie doesn’t take the torment and hide away – she stands up to the bullies beating them to a pulp and using foul language to defend herself.

The fighting and cursing almost gets her suspended, and her grades start to slip because of it. Also, because she doesn’t want to see the paparazzi, she hides away in her house playing video games and eating junk food.

While I am not one to shame people for being overweight, since I myself went through a time where I was very overweight. In Carrie’s case, she is a young girl and it’s not healthy for her to confine herself to the house, eat junk food and play video games all day. Nina is worried for her daughter and wants to help her, but is unsure how.

Nina’s help is taken as an insult by her daughter. Carrie responds by fighting and cursing with her mother. Carrie is angry at her mother for selling the rights to the movie studio. She is angry that she is enduring this torment at school, and most of all – she’s stick of being referred to as Nina Gãrbãn’s Daughter instead of being Carrie.

Nina feels she’s at an impasse. The once wonderful and close relationship she shared with her daughter, is now a difficult family dynamic. She feels that her fame has now eclipsed Carrie’s life, and the child is suffering mentally, emotionally and physically because of it. At this point, she’s not sure what to do.

It’s then Rachel, Nina’s agent and friend, asks her to take a ride with her to come look at this penthouse in San Myshuno that she’s thinking of buying. Nina has nothing going on that day while Carrie is at school, so she says she’ll take a ride in.

When Nina and Rachel arrive at the penthouse, Rachel isn’t impressed with it at all but for Nina it’s a palace. She loves the way it has tons of light, that it’s private and fits a star of her caliber.

Nina’s penthouse is the Stargazer Penthouse built by Deligracy. The build video is below. The first time I saw it, I knew that was going to be Nina’s home. In fact, I remember writing to her in the comments that it would be perfect for my writer Sim aka Nina. Check out Deligracy’s video on how she built this fantastic penthouse and then add it to your game.

Here’s a little bit of a spoiler for the next couple of chapters. For far too long, Nina confined herself to the cottage because it was the last link she had to her parents. Nina faced tragedy at a young age by losing her mother at age twelve and her father at sixteen. Her father, who continued to raise her, eventually died due to broken heart syndrome (which is supposed to be a feature in the new expansion pack known as Lovestruck. Also, it’s a real thing check out this link to the Mayo clinic.) After suffering that loss and having held onto the cottage as the last remaining link to her parents, Nina finally feels she can let go. Now, after being in therapy, she’s realized that the cottage was their home, not hers, and everything about it right down to the furnishings reflect their style and not hers.

So, when Rachel decides she’s not going to buy it, Nina jumps at the chance to buy it right away. The agent can’t believe it. When Nina learns the price, she buys it outright. The real estate agency gives Nina a huge UHD 8K 80″ Curved TV as a gift for paying all up front. Nina is elated, she needs this change for herself.

The penthouse feels like it is her home, and it has everything she could ever want or need. It has top notch security, butler service, a dedicated driver, and a personal chef that caters to the penthouse and two luxury apartments below. Plus, it’s quiet and serene. It’s the perfect home for a star of her caliber – not the cramped cottage she lived in for far too long. And if you’ve ever felt that Nina never belonged there, you were right, she didn’t – but she was there because it held the memories of her parents, and she couldn’t let it go. When she divorced Amanda, she went to the one place she truly felt safe and that was the cottage. It symbolized her need to have her parents around her during the darkest times of her life. And now, after realizing that she can let go of the cottage, she will – and live her life. She knows that the memories of her parents will always be there, but now she needs to be on her own and find out who she really is.

When Nina returns home to Carrie to tell her of the good news, she’s hoping Carrie will be happy. Maybe this will help the troublesome teen’s mood of late?

The opposite happens. Carrie is infuriated to learn that they are going to be moving. On one hand she would only be an hour away from San Sequoia but on the other hand, she wouldn’t be able to have her animals. What would happen to her cow, goat, chickens, rabbits and foxes? What about her garden and her fish? She’s especially worried for her beloved cow Daisy whom she loves with all of her heart.

She can’t believe that Nina would do this to her! She demands that she’s able to go spend the weekend at her cousin Jane’s house rather than spend one more night under the same roof as Nina Gârbãn! Nina is very hurt by Carrie’s outburst and agrees to take her to her cousin’s house. After she drops Carrie off at Jayda’s house, she calls Amanda and asks to see her.

Nina and Amanda have a conversation about what’s been happening with Carrie. Nina informs her that Carrie has been incredibly unhappy since the movie came out, and she’s been teased relentlessly in school about it. She tells her about how Carrie lashes out at her by fighting with her and cursing at her. And worst of all, the first edition, first run copy of the book that Nina wrote for her, the one that would have Nina’s fans swoon over, is thrown into the garbage pail (bin) by Carrie.

Nina makes the painful decision to ask Amanda if Carrie can live with her and Tony now. She feels that this is best given Nina’s celebrity status, and the fact that Carrie is being harassed so much in school. She also knows that Carrie is happier whenever she comes to see Amanda and Tony. At least by going to a new school with her cousins, she’ll already be around people she knows, and can make new friends. She won’t have to worry about being identified as a celebrity’s child, and she can live freely without the paparazzi on her doorstep.

Amanda tells Nina that Carrie can live with her and Tony, and that they’ll sit down with the lawyer to change the conditions of the divorce. Nina tells her that it won’t be necessary, and that she feels they can handle it successfully. Amanda agrees, and Nina says tearfully that she just wants Carrie to be happy.

Here’s another spoiler, when Amanda sees how upset Nina she is, she tells her that they need to be a team when it comes to Carrie to do all they can to help through this crisis. Nina thanks Amanda and asks if she’ll take Carrie’s chickens too. Amanda agrees. But as she’s leaving, she peers down at Amanda’s stomach and asks, “Soon huh?”

Amanda accidentally says that she’s very active at night, and when Nina learns that they are about to have a little girl, it triggers her, and she needs to get out of there quickly. Of course, this does not connect with Amanda who only thinks Nina wants to get home to her swanky new penthouse. Instead, as soon as Nina has privacy, she lets her tears fall. Nina has always wanted a second child, and now Amanda and Tony are going to have one. All she can think as the car drives away is, a little girl. They are so lucky.

In Chapter 16, we’re going to see how Carrie is getting on at Amanda and Tony’s and if it seemed like Amanda and Nina were being more cordial to one another than usual then you’re right. They are. Can this continue, or does Nina have a whole can of vitriol ready to unleash once Amanda has her baby. We will see.
