Tony is ready to pop the question. Is Amanda ready to say yes? If you haven’t seen the episode, STOP RIGHT NOW and watch Episode 12 below then join us down below for the spoilers!

We start Episode 12 with Tony & Amanda dating exclusively for the past year. They’ve moved in together and are having a wonderful time being together as she introduces him to more of her family.

We also find the reason why Tony has that ugly, pink, porcelain pig and the story behind it. I incorporated the story into a speed renovation of Tony & Amanda’s apartment. I admit I borrowed this technique from Jenn of xUrbanSimsx, KT of Just A Mom that Sims, and Lilsimsie. I love the way all three incorporate a story into their speed builds. So yes, I have borrowed a bit of their techniques and woven it into my own style. Also, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

The speed renovation will also explain a little bit more of Tony’s backstory with his family. Originally, I was going to re-shoot the scenes in a flashback but then I thought to do a speed renovation and tell the story – which I thought would be a nice touch.

Thank you, Jenn, KT & Kayla for the inspiration.

I also include in this episode two original builds of my own, the first is Jayda’s house. I really love this house and also designed a house using platforms, and an attached greenhouse. The other build is a bit of a spoiler, but it comes in later. I’ll explain more later in the article.

Nina on the other hand, is in a tailspin. On one hand she’s happy that her ex has found happiness again and on the other hand, she’s upset that she’s not the one making her happy. Nina knows she has only herself to blame. She’s the one who walked away and divorced her, while still loving her deeply. Nina’s major issue was she just couldn’t get past the affair – and now the relationship is over. And she’s not wrong for feeling this way, Amanda betrayed her – how could she ever love her if she doesn’t trust her?

Nina struggles coming to grips with the current situation that is her life. Although she’s richer than ever, successful and has a good relationship with her daughter – she is alone. The expression, it’s lonely at the top couldn’t be truer. Although she’s dated somewhat, nothing has really stuck, and she wonders if she is to blame because of her trust issues.

Amanda’s life couldn’t be better! Amanda has found a deep true love with Tony. He adores her and loves her daughter. He’s a kind and gentle man who loves her. And for Amanda, this is what she’s wanted her whole life – a partner who wants what she wants.

She always thought when her and Nina got together that they would be together forever, but now she wonders if her marriage to Nina was based more on lust than love. She also wonders if Nina hadn’t become a famous author, would the marriage have survived? And if she was truly in love with Nina, why would she have cheated on her the way she did?

With Tony she’s not finding those issues come into play. She finds that the relationship feels natural than having it to be a struggle. They just enjoy being together and sharing their lives with one another. It’s a breath of fresh air and she’s the happiest she’s ever been.

Because Nina goes back and forth between her trust issues and grief, even though it’s been almost five years since the end of the marriage, her career starts to suffer. She finds that two books get cancelled out, and if not for the success of Carrie’s Cow Saves Christmas – she would probably have been stuck in a rut career wise.

The other thing Nina can’t stand is whenever she goes to the family gatherings, there’s Tony & Amanda too. She can’t stand the sight of them, and frequently makes early exits because her heart just can’t take it, and her anxiety spikes to an all-time high.

For Nina she feels like she no longer has a family except for Carrie and Alexa. And even though she loves her cousin Robert, she can’t help to feel it was a mistake to get involved with Amanda from the beginning.

After everyone watches the New Year’s celebration, Tony decides to go outside with Amanda to get some fresh air. And at this point if you haven’t watched the episode, I think you should! So, stop, watch the episode, and then come back to the article after you’ve seen it.

After a year of dating exclusively, and meeting her family, Tony decides to pop the question. For Amanda, the answer is clear – and she knows this is where her life is to be. He’s everything she’s ever wanted in a partner and more. And she wants her life with him. Plus, she’s had a pure and honest love built on trust and intimacy. And he has shown her that she’s not only able to love again but be worthy of being loved back. Through him Amanda begins to trust again and learns what it’s like to truly be in love both in body, mind and soul.

Her relationship with Nina had been built on lies and deceit from the beginning, as they hid the truth from not only their family, but also themselves. Then when Nina turned out to be what Amanda didn’t want – a celebrity – she turned on her by cheating on her.

Nina in turn let her career and fame control her life, putting her family low on her priorities list until she realized it was too late to change course. Of course, catching Amanda in bed with her employee was a major catalyst to them breaking up. Yet Nina’s rage and hurt dictated her actions and she divorced Amanda refusing to forgive her for her actions. And it isn’t until after everything is said and done that Nina realizes maybe she should have allowed Amanda the chance to prove herself.

However, before that, it was clear that both were very unhappy in their marriage and even if the cheating hadn’t occurred divorce may have been inevitable. This is what tortures Nina now.

These questions of what if constantly echo in her mind, and it’s these same questions that turn her even more bitter, jaded and lonely as time goes on.

Carrie is thrilled that Tony will be her stepfather, and it’s then he makes her a promise to be a great Stepdad to her. Tony gives her a little pinky ring with her birthstone on it. He tells her that as she gets older, he will always make sure that it fits on her pinky, and Carrie is thrilled. She’s also thrilled to be a Flower Pal at the wedding.

Amanda arranges for Carrie to spend the night at Jayda’s house and have a sleepover party with her cousin Jane. Then her and Tony head back to the apartment for a private party of their own.

In the middle of the night, Tony asks Amanda about the future. He tells her that he saw a beautiful house around the corner from her sister Lea’s house. It’s for sale. And yes, this is an original build of mine.

I wanted the house to be very family oriented and to reflect that in the design. This is another house that I’m very proud of, and over the years I’ve tried to step out of my comfort zone when it comes to building.

If you want me to put these builds on the gallery, let me know and I will.

Tony says to Amanda that maybe they should get a bigger place and especially give Carrie her own room. Most of the time when Carrie stays over, Tony sleeps on the pullout couch that they have, and gives the girls the bedroom. Also, since he’s coming home from work very late, he doesn’t want to wake them up. Plus, now that they are getting married – he wants only the best for his family and whoever else that may come along.

Amanda is surprised to hear him say this but she’s on board. She would love to give him a baby. And with that, they decide to take a trip and take a look at the house.

So now it’s time to get ready for the wedding. For Chapter 13 entitled, “Pre Wedding-Jitters” the story takes a turn. I am also super happy to be featuring the Tartosa Hotel & Resort built by the incredible Marmelad. It’s such an amazing build, and it’s one of the reasons why Marmelad is my favorite builder. Check out the video of her build down below and then add it to your game.

Plus, the Tartosa Hotel by Marmelad has been chosen for Tony & Amanda’s wedding. I think you’re going to enjoy this episode. Check out her video down below and add it to your game. It’s one of my most favorite builds from her ever!

Thanks for watching and reading. See you next time.
