Chapter 4
Spoiler Warning!
Amanda is at crossroads. She can fight for Nina or let her go. After spending the weekend at her parents’ house, Amanda decides to fight for Nina and prove to her that she can be faithful. She can’t imagine her life without her. She’s ashamed and embarrassed about what she’s done. Jack isn’t important to her at all, it’s Nina who she’d walk through fire for.
Nina is conflicted too. On one hand she promised she’d never let go of Amanda, but Amanda has betrayed her. How can she love her if she can’t trust her? It’s also having that image of Amanda and Jack in bed together. It burns in her memory and makes her heart break. How could she ever forgive her for that?

After Amanda comes back home, Nina is waiting for her. Instantly, they are drawn into a heated argument while their daughter Carrie watches from the top of the stairs. Ultimately, no matter how much begging and crying Amanda does, Nina isn’t having it. Amanda is told to live at the vet clinic for the week and on Friday after 3PM she can come back home. Amanda is hoping that Nina will give her a second chance, but she loses her temper when Nina rejects her telling her, “She’ll sign the damn papers.” There’s no way back.
Nina decides to divorce Amanda. She decides to move back to her family home in Henford-on-Bagley and be the custodial parent of Carrie. Amanda is devastated after returning home on Friday afternoon to find divorce papers and Nina’s wedding band left on the counter. After she breaks down into tears, she signs the divorce papers and then calls Jack to come over, but the morning after, she regrets her decision.
What will they both do now?
